From the numerous violent and sexual acts portrayed throughout the film, they debate the necessity and morality of such graphical violence which brought significant media attention at the time. Moreover, they discuss the other kinds of violence, including the systemic and psychological violence of the Ludovico experiment as well as the film’s misogynist gaze.
